Medieval Times began with two dinner theaters, one in Majorca and one in Benidorm. The first Medieval Times entertainment complex in North America was opened in 1983 in Kissimmee, Florida. Today Medieval Times has nine castles located in California, Texas, Illinois, New Jersey, Maryland, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Toronto Canada. Atlanta was the ninth Medieval Times location to be opened in 2006. Since opening Medieval Times has entertained over 60 million guests.

Medieval Times is a dinner theater hosted in an 11th-century castle. Medieval Times will have guests entertained by the six jousting knights testing their horse riding and dueling skills. All the while guests will be feasting on a four-course feast inspired by 11th century Spain. Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament has more than 2,000 full- and part-time professionals employed in the nine castles. Each Medieval Times show involves approximately 75 actors and 20 horses. Medieval Times is a family friendly dinner theater featuring staged medieval-style games, sword-fighting, and jousting. Expect to be entertained for over two hours with displays of horsemanship and falconry all part of a story set in Medieval Spain. The exciting story is based on a true story of a noble family with documentation dating back to the 11th Century. Guests can expect to experience the following when visiting Medieval Times:

  • The Hall of Arms hosts an impressive display of medieval weapons, coat of arms of noble families and the museum of torture featuring reproductions of torture instruments used in Medieval Times
  • King Don Carlos will welcome you and invite you to dine with him and his royal court. You can expect nothing less than a feast fit for a king.
  • Two-hour live show based on a true story, featuring six jousting knights, horses and a live flight of the royal falcon

The feast is made up of garlic bread, roasted chicken, tomato bisque soup,  buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes, the pastry of the Castle, includes two rounds of select beverages and coffee. For vegetarians, the feast is hummus, warm pita bread, carrot sticks, celery sticks, three-bean stew; fire roasted tomato with brown rice, fresh fruit or Italian ice, coffee and two rounds of select beverages. Throughout the feast and show, you will have wenches and serfs on hand to tend to your every need. Medieval Times welcomes group bookings for school outings or corporate functions.

Medieval Times has an onsite gift shop for you to buy your souvenirs and also a fully licensed bar. All Medieval Times location except for Canada have free secure parking and handicapped parking. Children under the age of 3 are free of charges long as they sit on a parents lap and share the same plate. You will need to pay the normal children's rate if you would like their own seat and meal.
